The Samburu National Reserve is situated in the north of Kenya and covers an area of 165 km². 350 km north of Samburu County at the Uaso Nyiro river, you can observe oryx antelopes, gerenuks, grant gazelles, dik-diks and zebras. Reticulated giraffes are also typical for the region. Amongst the carnivores you can find leopards, lions, cheetahs and striped hyaenas. Ostriches and great elephants complement the large variety of animals in the Samburu National Reserve.
